Amulet Pendant

I have a million questions about, warding off evil spirits, amulet, talismans etc?

Im really stuck here people, i have many questions but first i will tell you want i want. i want to get a charm/pendant to where on my gold chain to ward off evil spirits, bring me protection and health and luck as well.
iv been looking on the internet trying to find what wards off evil spirits and it says amulets, talismans and stuff like that but no specifics, like what kind of symbols animals etc. some say you need to wear a arrow head amulet protection from illness and to guard against the evil eye.
what is the evil eye?
some say wear silver why is this?
and there are some that are a hand with a eye in the middle of them what are these?
what is the difference of the hand facing up with the eye and the hand facing down with the eye?
im really stuck here if you can tell me a bit about protection symbols or charms,amulets,talismans and pendants that would help a lot.
i need to know what charm i can get to ward off evil spirits and bring protection, luck and health

The evil eye is related to black magick and originated if im not mistaken in Gypsy Magick,protection amulets are worn in some cultures to protect against this form of negative magick by wearing a symbolic representation known as an Amulet or Talisman or, Sigil.
