If they find an Indian wall will that tell us the extent of the Roman Empire at its height?

The Romans, although they knew of various people south of the Sahara, never ventured there and the people south of the Sahara never went north. Why would the Romans build a wall to keep nobody out? Why would they venture over 1000 miles across the Sahara to build a wall when the desert itself was enough to keep people from crossing it?
The only wall that is talked about in Chad is the "Green wall" that will cross from Senegal to Djibouti and aims to keep the desert from encroaching too far south.
Antoninus Pius commissioned the Antonine wall in Scotland, but it was nowhere recorded that he built any others.
