What spices are used in Chili's Awesome Blossom?

I tasted a deep-fried sweet onion called a 'blossom'. It was fabulous and I would love to try and cook one at home (perhaps not quite so large). Can anyone help?

Ingredients
1 prepared onion
2 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons mccormick seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup buttermilk
Dipping Sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons catsup
1/2 teaspoon mccormick seasoning salt
1/8 teaspoon red pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh horseradish
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Directions
1Mix all dry ingredients together.
2Onion may be sliced like a blossom by cutting the top 1/4 off, the top has the stem.
3Then peel and be very careful to leave the root intact.
4Carefully slice from the top of the onion down but stop about 1/2" before you get to the root, taking care not to cut through the root.
5Slice the rest of the onion like a pie into many servings.
6When complete, soak onion in cold ice water for 1/2 hr.
7so the onion's petals will start to open up and bloom.
8Drain onion and dip in flour mixture and dust well.
9Dip onion then in buttermilk and back in flour mixture.
10Place in hot oil and fry until golden.
11Oil should cover onion.
12When done drain well and place on plate and cut center out of onion so the petals may easily be removed.
13Dipping Sauce: Mix all together and serve in the middle of the onion blossom.
14Garnish with paprika and just a dash of red pepper.

Also there is the same kind of onion at the 'Outback Steakhouse' called a 'Blooming onion' Which is also very delicious so here is the recipe for that [It may be a bit spicier than the Awesome blossom not much though] :

Ingredients
1 large sweet vidalia onion
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1/8 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
oil (for frying)
Dip
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons ketchup
2 tablespoons creamed horseradish
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon dried parsley
pepper
Directions
1Beat together the egg and buttermilk in a medium bowl.
2Combine the flour, salt, pepper, cayenne, oregano, thyme, cumin and old bay in a separate bowl.
3Slice 3/4" to 1" off the top and bottom of the onion and remove skin.
4Cut out a 1" core and slice about 3/4 of the way down to create petals.
5Place the onion in boiling water to separate the petals.
6Let cool.
7Dip the onion into the milk mixture.
8Dip the coated onion into the flour mixture, covering liberally.
9Repeat process.
10Let onion set in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before frying.
11Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350 degrees.
12Fry the onion right side up for 10 minutes until brown.
13Drain on a rack or paper towel.
14Combine ingredients for dipping sauce and serve.
