adding a wall in a garage remodeling.?
i am planning to frame a wall to separate half of my garage off to make it into a room and the frame of the ceiling is a little difficult to work with, in the picture provided you can see that there is a gap between the bottom piece of wood and the tin roof, i want to frame the wall below this piece so how would i go about covering/sealing the gap between the roof and wood.?

Are you planning on drywalling the ceiling? Frame the wall to the underside of the joists (the lower ceiling boards). Nail the top plate of the wall to the bottom of the joists. If you are building a wall that runs parallel to the joists and falls between them, Nail blocking between the joists every 2 feet. This will give you something to nail the top plate to, as well as giving you nailing for the drywall on the ceiling. E-mail me if you have any questions. Hope this helps.
