Grand Tour

Im considering an EFCollege break tour for summer 2010. Im looking into the Grand Tour of Europe or Greek Isle?

Has anyone gone on an EF college break tour that can give me some good advice? Or Is there anyone who is or knows someone going on a tour this summer? I am really nervous about going alone. Please no reps or campus managers from EF either. I want real people with real experience. Thanks!

I'm a campus manager, but will not treat this as a sales pitch, so don't worry. I have been on 5 EFCB tours (Costa Rica, Thailand, Egypt, Australia & New Zealand, and Germany, Italy & Switzerland). Each tour has been very different. Some I've done with friends, some on my own. Some have been very much about culture and history and other more about fun and adventure.

Don't worry too much about being on your own. You will meet tons of people in your tour group, many of them traveling by themselves as well. Take advantage of the bus time, roommates, and that first night's outing especially to try to get to know as many of the people in the group as possible. Figure out with who you feel you might enjoy hanging out with the most. After that, it's all about approaching people. Don't wait for them to speak to you, but make it visible to them that you are open to making new friends by engaging with them in conversation. I guarantee that if you do so, you will not be walking around on your own.

Both tours you mentioned are amazing! Greek Isles will be more of a party and relax trip, whereas Grand Tour will have some partying mixed in with plenty of historical and cultural sites as well. It all depends how you want to spend your vacation. Consider length and your budget as well, since both trips differ significantly in both respects. I'm big on cultural stuff, so I would go for the Grand Tour, except that I've already been to most places on the itinerary. They just added a new tour you might want to consider: Turkey, Greece, and Italy. It's the one I'll probably sign up for this summer. It looks awesome!
