Please check that this is correct for my name in hieroglyphics?

I believe that the Ancient Egyptian alphabet was based up on the sounds, not the individual letters.

So, my name is Emily.

They would miss out the E, and just use the symbols for M I L Y (Em-i-lee)

So i would have an owl, then a single reed, then a lion/sphinx, then double reeds.

Is that correct? Its what comes up on the internet, and i've checked my Egyptology books.

Could you please just say yea, it is, or no, it would be...etc

Thank you in advance :)

The National Geographic Hieroglyphs Translator has : forearm - owl - flowering reed - lion - reed flowers
