Quick question about stock--mergers and acquisitions?
Hello, how are you?
I was wondering if any one knew how some people find out about mergers and acquisitions in stock news? For example, Buffett bought a railroad today, and that railroad companys stock that he bought increased by 20%. By time I saw the news, I checked the stock, and it had already risen, but my report said breaking news. So I thought it was the first time it was released to the public, and then we could all participate and get our hands on some of the profits that come from mergers and acquisitons of two companies in the stock market.
Where do the ones who already bought in, get their information from?
