12X18 Handmade from India wool rug, what is it worth?
We recently inherited a beautiful 12X18 India hand made Oriental rug . It's 100 % wool pile, design #301, Quality Shalimar, Rega No 19350. This is all located on the back label. Our friend had the carpet since the early 70's, she had also inherited from someone. For insurance reasons I would like to try to find or get an ideal of what the rug cost.
I would recommend taking it to an antique rug dealer for appraisal. I think because of the size and that its wool I would safely assume it could be at least a couple thousand or higher.
