what is going on with these Chinese gymnasts?
How are they getting such high scores when they obviously shouldn't be? Even the announcers are stunned by the scores. Do you think they are paying the judges or something? I'm getting tired of the Chinese gymnasts screwing over the Americans. First they lie about their age and now somehow there's something going on with both of the Chinese scores where they are receiving higher scores than they should. SOOO AGGRAVATING!
Helen, you're stupid. I never said anything about their looks. Obviously, there are many people in the world that don't look their age. What convinces are the articles that have been written about the girls and the birthdates that have been published.
It isn't racist to say that a team is cheating.
Not one of those little girls looks old enough to be competing at the Olympics. One girl is missing a tooth. I just think it is a huge disgrace to the Olympics for a team to take advantage of the fact that they are hosting the events, so they can falsify documents.
I wouldn't mind if another country won, if they deserved it. American gymnasts didn't do their best. Even if China lost their gold for underage girls, I don't know that giving the U.S. the gold is the right thing to do (although the previously 4th place country should receive some kind of honor).
I'm not angered by the girls competing because I'm sure it was an adult's idea to participate while underage. I'm frusrated with the Chinese government if they did indeed create fake passports. If it can be proven that documents were falsified, I think China should have to face repercussions. Withdrawing all of the female gymnasts just isn't enough. They need to find another way to punish China. They're the host country. They set the tone for the games.
